From Bitter Ground was designed to be read by two readers, separated by distance, but not by story.
We offer the opportunity to pair with a partner during the Prologue and on Day 1. If you opt out, then you're reading solo, which is totally fine too.
For reference, here are the pairing screens, with guidance.
This is the Pairing set-up screen.
Text your code to your partner, and then both enter the appropriate codes into the app.
This is what you'll see when waiting for your partner to enter your code at their end.
And this is the confirmation that you've successfully linked your accounts and progress through the whole story.
If you opted for solo reading, this is the confirmation screen.
You can read the Prologue and map your site before Pairing (or opting out)
This screen will be the default once you’ve walked the Prologue and while you're waiting for your books to arrive.
And finally, this screen indicates you've completed the prologue, but have to wait until the next day for the full experience to begin. The countdown should be timed to midnight, local time.
